EOCA’s 2026 Project Vote opens 5 November with nine conservation projects shortlisted

The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) is inviting the public to help select conservation projects for funding when its 2026 Project Vote opens on Thursday 5 November.
Voting begins at 12:00 GMT (13:00 CET) on 5 November and runs until 12:00 GMT (13:00 CET) on Tuesday 17 November 2026.
Nine shortlisted projects from around the world are seeking support for initiatives that protect threatened wildlife, restore habitats and sustain local communities and livelihoods.

Conservation projects in the spotlight
The shortlist includes work to restore wetlands for fishing cats in Nepal, protect the endangered hirola antelope in Kenya, restore kelp forests in Norway and bring beavers back to Portugal. Together, the nine projects illustrate the range of conservation challenges being addressed by local organisations and communities.
According to EOCA, the two projects receiving the most public votes will be selected for EOCA funding, supported by the association’s outdoor industry members.
How to take part in the EOCA Project Vote
Members of the public can review the shortlisted projects and cast their votes via EOCA’s official Project Vote page once voting opens at midday GMT on Thursday 5 November. Voting closes at midday GMT on Tuesday 17 November.
EOCA is encouraging outdoor enthusiasts, businesses and communities to share the vote and help raise awareness of the shortlisted conservation initiatives.
