Hunter and Erpenstein set up 15-point windsurfing title showdown

Marine Hunter’s Aloha Classic victory in Hawaii has tightened the women’s windsurfing world title race, leaving her just 15 points behind leader Lina Erpenstein.
France’s Hunter topped an all-European podium at Ho’okipa, with Germany’s Erpenstein second and Maria Behrens third. Rain, shifting swell and inconsistent wind tested competitors in a sudden-death format.
Hunter now has 30,240 points against Erpenstein’s 30,255 heading into the Grand Final in Chile, scheduled for 14–29 November. Behrens remains mathematically in contention.
In the men’s competition, Spain’s Marc Paré Rico won ahead of Bernd Roediger and Antoine Martin. Paré Rico takes a 6,410-point advantage into the season finale.
