The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) marks its 20th anniversary with a new short film celebrating two decades of collective action for nature and the outdoor industry’s role in protecting its future.
Over the past 20 years, EOCA has raised more than €6 million for conservation, supporting 221 projects across 67 countries. The association brings outdoor businesses together to fund grassroots conservation and restoration.
“Nature is the bedrock of all our economic success,” says Dan Yates, EOCA Executive Director. “We work collaboratively across the whole of the outdoor industry, so brands can pool funding, co-fund projects together.”
The film features Dan Yates; conservationist, ecologist and economist Robbie Blackhall-Miles; Sarah-Jane Brown of Trash Free Trails; and Tom Carrick of the British Mountaineering Council. It explores the links between local communities, habitats and the outdoor businesses that depend on nature.
With more than 100 brand members, EOCA is inviting more businesses to support grassroots conservation and advocate for nature protection.
