Merrell x Sweaty Betty Brings a New Fashion Perspective to Hike for Autumn/Winter 2026

22nd October 2026 – Merrell and Sweaty Betty are bringing a new fashion perspective to women’s hikewear this autumn, with the launch of the sister brands’ fourth collaboration. Dropping on October 22nd, the latest chapter sees two of outdoor and activewear’s most recognisable names introduce exclusive footwear styles for women getting outside.

Bringing together four decades of trail expertise from the world’s leading outdoor footwear brand with Sweaty Betty’s style-led approach to women’s activewear, the capsule reinterprets Merrell’s best-selling Moab Speed 2 GTX in two exclusive new colourways. The FW26 drop arrives in Bracken Green and Utility Brown.

Known for its balance of comfort, grip and all-weather adaptability, the Moab Speed 2 GTX is built for the unpredictable reality of the British outdoors. Underfoot, a Merrell-exclusive Vibram TC5+ outsole and Vibram traction lugs deliver exceptional grip across multi-sport terrain and shed debris with each step, while a GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane provides breathable, waterproof protection. Its FloatPro™ foam optimises energy return and comfort, while lightweight FlexPlate™ technology provides torsional rigidity, lateral stability and forefoot flexibility.

The collaboration taps into a wider shift in the way women are coming together and experiencing the outdoors globally, which has evolved beyond a technical pursuit into a ritual that creates space for women to reset and reconnect. On September 19th, Sweaty Betty’s sisterhood joined Merrell’s female-led Hiking Club (MHC) in Lee Valley for an exclusive preview of the collaboration centred around movement, adventure and community. More than a hiking group, MHC is a safe and celebratory space for women to build meaningful connections, confidence, learn new skills and explore the outside together – a natural extension of the two brands’ shared mission to make outdoor pursuit more accessible to women.

Noreen Naroo-Pucci, Chief Product Officer at Merrell, comments ”We’re proud to continue our collaborative partnership with Sweaty Betty. Their commitment to empowering women through movement, community and confidence makes them such a natural collaborator for Merrell. Together, we’ve created a collection that celebrates what can happen when women feel supported to move, explore and experience the simple power of being outside.”

Alongside the footwear capsule, Sweaty Betty’s wider hike collection brings trail-ready functionality into activewear and outerwear. Its cult-favourite, #1 best-selling Power leggings have been re-engineered for the trail with the introduction of the Power Hike Legging, which combines durable four-way stretch material with a water-resistant finish for wet-weather adventures. A pass-through back panel provides a practical place to hold an extra layer as you walk, while Performance Fleece Zip-ups arrive in tonal, earthy shades, alongside verdant Longline Parkas from Sweaty Betty’s Motion franchise.

Stacey Britt Fizgerald, Vice President of Marketing at Sweaty Betty, adds “We’re so excited to be back with Merrell for our fourth collaboration. It’s a natural extension of Born For The Storm, our autumn/winter campaign celebrating women who don’t wait for perfect conditions to get moving. Together with our expanded Hike collection, we’re bringing a distinctly Sweaty Betty point of view to the trail, combining performance and style with a fresh take on the outdoors.”

The capsule collection is launching via sweatybetty.com and merrell.com on October 22nd. It will be available for purchase via ASOS, JD, Very and The Sports Edit via Marks & Spencer, as well as in select Sweaty Betty stores, including Richmond, Marylebone, Bath, Victoria and Meadowhall.
