Special edition SIGG bottle aims to top up fell conservation fundraising at Keswick Mountain Festival
Outdoor brand SIGG has teamed up with the organisers of Keswick Mountain Festival to boost fundraising for the event’s official charity. The Swiss company has created a special edition bottle, which will be available to buy at the festival in May. A contribution from each sale will be donated to support a local conservation project. This year’s Keswick Mountain Festival will run from 15-17 May.
Founded in 2007, the annual Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF) is based in The National Trust’s Crow Park, on the shore of Derwentwater. There it has a backdrop of Catbells and other Lake District fells. For many years, the Trust has been the official charity partner of the festival. Together, the two organisations have launched a Catbells legacy project. Their aim is to raise £10,000 every year, which will cover the annual cost for work carried out on the fell. Visitors to KMF are encouraged to support the project in different ways. For example, they can make a donation when buying tickets, or contribute to collections over the weekend of the event.
SIGG is exhibiting in the KMF Festival Village for the first time this year. Also, it has produced a special edition of its iconic Traveller bottle for the event. The bottle features a design that incorporates the festival logo. In addition, it will be available to purchase during the festival for £20, with £2 from every sale being donated to the Catbells legacy project. Catbells is one of the busiest hills in the Lake District. It needs continuous help to preserve the paths and surrounding habitat for the benefit of nature and for generations of outdoor enthusiasts to come. Money raised through sales of the special edition Traveller and other KMF activations will support this vital conservation work.
Made from a single piece of high-quality 100% recycled aluminium, the popular SIGG Traveller is both light and strong. This makes it the ideal companion for any adventure. The practical screw cap ensures a tight seal and allows it to be comfortably carried with just one finger. The highly elastic interior coating is resistant to dents, is ‘tasteless’, and free from BPA and phthalates. This helps perfectly preserve the flavour of favourite drinks. The bottle is suitable for both carbonated and uncarbonated drinks.
