MandM sets off on Offa’s Dyke Ultra Trail Fundraising Challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust
MandM’s commitment to the cause continues to go far beyond financial donations

MandM, one of the UK’s leading online off-price retailers, continues its longstanding support for Teenage Cancer Trust with a fundraising hike that has already raised £28,500, with hopes to exceed the £35,000 mark.
On Friday 9th May, a group of 22 MandM employees and Teenage Cancer Trust are taking on the challenge alongside individuals currently supported by the charity – young people living with cancer and bravely joining the hike themselves. Led by Chairman Mike Tomkins and Customer and eCommerce Director Tom Goode, the MandM team will be setting off on a 50-mile hike along the undulating trails of the Offa’s Dyke path over 2 days to raise money for the Trust.
This endeavour is part of MandM’s ongoing 20-year partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust, which has raised over £3 million to date. The funds have helped provide over 100,000 hours of expert care from the charity’s specialist nurses, supporting teenagers and young adults during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Mike Tomkins, Chairman of MandM, said: “It’s been incredibly inspiring to see so many of our team step up for this challenge, especially alongside young people currently supported by Teenage Cancer Trust. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re pushing to go even further — every pound raised helps ensure that no young person faces cancer alone. This hike is more than just a fundraising effort; it’s a reflection of the passion and commitment that drives our 20-year partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust.”
Kate Collins, Chief Executive of Teenage Cancer Trust, added: “MandM’s unwavering support over the past two decades has made a lasting difference to the lives of thousands of young people with cancer. This latest fundraising challenge is another example of the dedication behind the partnership. It’s incredibly moving to see staff walking alongside young people supported by our services.”
MandM’s commitment to the cause continues to go far beyond financial donations. The company regularly donates branded performance tops for charity events, and staff actively participate in fundraising activities — a testament to the deep-rooted culture of giving back.
As the team puts their best foot forward on this latest challenge, they’re calling on the public and their community to help them smash their target and raise vital funds that support young people facing cancer across the UK.
