XTU S7 Pro Max action camera launches in the UK with 4K HDR video

XTUCAM has announced the UK launch of the XTU S7 Pro Max, an action camera designed for travel, cycling, hiking and other outdoor point-of-view filming.

The new model combines a 1/1.28-inch RYYB CMOS sensor with an AI image signal processor and F2.8 lens. According to the manufacturer, it can capture native 50MP still images and record HDR video at up to 4K and 50 frames per second. XTU also claims a dynamic range of up to 14 stops.

Filming outdoors

The S7 Pro Max has a 158-degree field of view, with HDR, Night Mode and X-LOG shooting options intended for varied lighting conditions. Its Super EIS 5.0 electronic stabilisation system includes horizon stabilisation and 360-degree horizon correction. Gyroscope data can be exported for further stabilisation in Gyroflow.

For framing and playback, the camera offers a 2.29-inch rear touchscreen alongside a 1.4-inch front display. Vertical shooting, voice commands and pre-recording are also supported.

Mounting, battery and connectivity

Magnetic quick-release mounting allows the camera to move between compatible mounts. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, the XTU GO companion app and USB file transfer. An optional XTU MIC 1 Bluetooth microphone is available separately.

A replaceable 1800mAh battery supports PD fast charging. XTU quotes up to approximately 200 minutes of recording at 1080p/30fps, with actual performance dependent on settings and conditions.

XTUCAM notes that the camera body itself is not waterproof. Underwater use requires a separate protective housing, which the company rates for depths of up to 30 metres when properly fitted.

The S7 Pro Max is now available in the UK. Further details are available on the official XTUCAM product page.
