Rudy Project has expanded its outdoor eyewear range with Voyager and the new ImpactX Laser Summit 0-4 HDR photochromic lens.
The lens offers variable protection from category 0 to category 4, with light transmission ranging from 80% to 5%. Rudy Project says the combination is designed for athletes moving through sharply changing light conditions, from night, early morning and shade to intense sunlight at high altitude.
Photochromic properties are incorporated into the ImpactX lens material rather than applied as a surface coating. The material is described by the company as unbreakable, while HDR technology is intended to increase contrast and sharpen detail. The lens also provides full UV protection.
Voyager weighs 34g and features an adjustable nosepiece, removable side shields and a removable central insert. The range is offered in six variants.
The new eyewear is aimed at activities in extreme environments, including high mountains and deserts. More information is available from Rudy Project.
