Debut of CORDURA re/cor RN6 into apparel in Napapijri´s The Premium Collection

Hot on the heels of Napapijri Northfarer’s switch to CORDURA® UltraLite Fabric earlier this year, the iconic Skidoo jacket has now been recreated using fully recycled CORDURA®re/cor™ RN6 as part of collection titled ‘The Premium Outdoor Collection’.

While the Northfarer already celebrates the brand’s most iconic shape, the anorak, and elevates it to a sleek, urban style made in CORDURA® UltraLite Fabric; the Skidoo created using CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 is featured in the new Premium Outdoor Collection – a collection of premium outdoor styles merging urban aesthetic, functionality, and comfort for eco-conscious consumers.

Built at the crossroads of fashion, performance and responsibility, the Premium Outdoor Collection explores materials such as fully recycled CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6and CORDURA® UltraLite Fabric as the foundational bricks of every outstanding outdoor experience.

CORDURA® Advanced Fabrics recently introduced its new CORDURA® re/cor™ portfolio, urging the industry to ‘Expect More, Waste Less.’

Paolo Pezzin, senior material manager at Napapijri explains: “Napapijri has always worked with CORDURA® fabrics to create iconic products. CORDURA® is synonymous with resistance, durability and responsibility; producing long-lasting garments that encourage consumers to buy less and wear more, breaking the fast-fashion habit.  With the use of CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 , Napapijri can now offer  products that are highly sustainable using responsibly recycled sources instead of virgin materials.“

Malayka Erpen, Global Consumer Segment Leader CORDURA® added: “We are applying our knowledge of durable fiber and fabric technologies to help shape and define the apparel of tomorrow, and we are thrilled to partner with Napapijri on their latest collection.  Our GRS certified post-consumer recycled polyester and pre-consumer RN6 fabric technologies, are both folded into our CORDURA® re/cor™ line.  As the world evolves, we know a large piece of that will fall within stewardship and sustainability – we’ve put this work at the front of our efforts.

“Consumers are looking for apparel that they can use for both work and leisure pursuits.  Innovation is at the heart of what CORDURA® truly is, and we make it a priority to continually bring new ideas and products to our brand and retail partners.”
