Backpack specialist deuter announces its new partnership with HIGHLANDER, the global series of long-distance hiking adventures. deuter is now the official gear partner for the HIGHLANDER Lake District event in July 2025. This marks the start of a new collaboration between two well-established, adventure-focused brands, committed to elevating long-distance hiking experiences through top-tier equipment and community-driven events.

About the HIGHLANDER Lake District event
HIGHLANDER Lake District edition is a multi-day hiking journey through one of the UK’s most stunning and best-loved national parks. Participants can expect immersive trekking experiences across variable terrain, from craggy peaks to serene valleys. Participants are self-sufficient on the trail, carrying their own equipment and following the Leave No Trace philosophy.
HIGHLANDER event participants include families, businesses, and underrepresented individuals, as the invitation to enjoy the mountains is extended to different communities, encouraging a healthy lifestyle. There are four different event formats, with routes of 99km, 58km, 43km and 24km. More information and signup can be found here.
HIGHLANDER’s role is to make multi-day backpacking adventures accessible, providing support in the form of food, water, navigation, mountain campsites and safety on the trail, along with tailored entertainment and educational activities.
