Sport performance brand On has launched landmark upgrades to its Outdoor footwear range.

A new iteration of the Cloudrock Waterproof, a waterproof version of the Cloudvista and a brand new Cloudwander Waterproof model will all be available in September. On is also presenting a new enhanced version of its Missiongrip outsole technology, which will be incorporated into all new Outdoor models.

With a firm and consistent focus on developing all the technologies and components in-house, On has steadily evolved its Outdoor range of footwear products since their launch in 2016. Based on various feedback and extensive testing by its product and innovation teams, the Swiss sportswear brand today unveiled a new compound for its Missiongrip outsole technology. With its enhanced grip credentials, the new Missiongrip ensures even better traction on all terrains, in the wet or in the dry.

“Our new Missiongrip is our best performance sticky rubber yet,” said On footwear developer Olivier Withworth. “Its wet grip has been improved 30 per cent, and we’ve still maintained a highly abrasive compound. It’s a genuine game changer that puts us right up there with the market leaders.”

The Cloudwander Waterproof

Designed for everyday outdoor activities with a touch of the extraordinary, this entirely new On performance shoe is both lightweight and versatile, with enough support to handle a longer hike, too, if the mood so inspires. As the name implies, the Cloudwander Waterproof features a waterproof membrane to ensure constant comfort in all conditions. The Cloudwander Waterproof is available for £160. 

The Cloudvista Waterproof

The Cloudvista, which was introduced this spring, is now available in a waterproof version in time for the fall season. The technical features that made the Cloudvista an instant bestseller, such as its light weight and its Helion™ superfoam midsole, all remain unchanged. In addition to its waterproof membrane, the Cloudvista Waterproof also incorporates reflective details on the upper to ensure better visibility on any nighttime outings. The Cloudvista Waterproof is available for £160 from September 15, 2022. 

The Cloudrock 2 Waterproof

The Cloudrock 2 Waterproof is the latest iteration of On’s Cloudrock high-top hiking shoe. In a total redesign, the new shoe offers a more precise close-to-the-foot fit, a new lug pattern and a more dynamic midsole for sporting adventures. Also improved are the secure Flexlock lacing system and the closed construction under the sole to avoid picking up stones. The Cloudrock 2 Waterproof is available for £190.
