After 55 years at the heart of British mountain running, OMM has partnered with traction experts Vibram to create its first footwear – the Fell Shoe. It is a purpose-built fell running shoe rooted in OMM’s mountain heritage and technical innovation.
We set out to build a shoe that inspires confidence in the mountains. A shoe you can’t outrun. A shoe that grips when it matters most – in mud, bog and rough mountain ground – whether you’re on a marked trail or well beyond it.
Don’t Run Flat
Working with Vibram, we combined three of their advanced traction technologies with OMM’s real-world mountain running experience. This resulted in a super-aggressive sole and bespoke lug pattern. Lug depths range from 8–11mm for maximum hold in soft ground and rock. Meanwhile, a 4mm drop and a weight of 272g deliver a light, precise, and agile feel on technical terrain.
The Fell Shoe holds its line when conditions deteriorate. It claws up sodden hillsides, follows narrow sheep tracks across steep ground, or allows you to throw yourself downhill in weather that would stop most runs before they start.
