The Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) has announced the launch of the 2022 UK Outdoor Industry Awards, which are now open to entries from brands across the industry until May 6, 2022.
At the show, a judging panel, which currently includes Nick Hallissey, Deputy Editor, Country Walking, Alex Roddie, Editor, Sidetracked and contributing editor, TGO, Tina Collins, Editor, TentLife, Iain Duff, Editor, Camping and Ben Weeks, Senior Writer, Trail with more to be announced shortly, will vote for the three finalists in each category. The finalists will be announced on the second day of the show June 8, 2022.
After the show, the online public voting will commence to choose the winners in each category and the overall Product of the Year. As in previous years, the OIA will work in conjunction with a variety of partners who will reach a wide variety of consumers in the outdoor spectrum to ensure a cross section of the outdoors. Partners include SportPursuit and TentLife, with more to be announced shortly, and will comprise of a database of around 1 million opted-in consumers. The consumer voting will be open until the August 19.
The judging panel will ratify the winners of all categories and from these they will choose the overall Product of the Year 2022. The winners will be announced at the OIA AGM & Conference 2022 in front of 200 industry colleagues (September 2022 – date tbc).
