ISPO has announced ISPO Sports Week, a global event platform intended to connect the sports and outdoor trade with the athletes, clubs, creators and communities influencing consumer demand.
Starting in 2027, the concept will bring specialist business events, product discovery, brand activations and participation experiences together in a week-long programme, while allowing each individual event to retain its identity.
OutdoorXpo joins the flagship programme
Amsterdam will remain the flagship home of ISPO Sports Week. Its 2027 programme is set to feature ISPO’s central trade event, the ISPO Leaders Summit, International Running Expo (IRX), OutdoorXpo and PadelXpo, alongside independent and community experiences.
The inclusion of OutdoorXpo is particularly relevant to outdoor brands and retailers seeking to engage with both trade buyers and outdoor consumers within the same event period.
Regional editions and new business opportunities
A Dubai edition is planned for September 2027, including ISPO Source for manufacturing, materials and ingredient businesses; ISPO Discover for emerging brands; and consumer-facing events including The Run Show, PadelXpo and OutdoorXpo. In China, editions will build on established events in Shanghai and Beijing. A US edition is planned for 2028, with announcements expected during 2027.
For outdoor manufacturers, distributors and retailers, the model aims to join trade meetings with direct insight into communities, product use and purchasing trends.
Mike Seaman, Group CEO of Raccoon Media Group, said the initiative would help brands bring together trade shows, launches, sporting events and consumer engagement rather than treating each as a separate investment.
