The North Face Launches FW26 ICONS Nuptse Collection

The North Face has unveiled its FW26 ICONS campaign, putting the spotlight on the Nuptse jacket and introducing a new chapter for one of the brand’s most recognisable puffer silhouettes.

The campaign celebrates the Nuptse’s longstanding influence on outdoor apparel and streetwear, bringing together technical performance, versatility and the familiar retro design.

Three Nuptse jackets in the spotlight

The launch focuses on three styles, each taking a different approach to the Nuptse design.

Summit Nuptse

Described by The North Face as its warmest, lightest and strongest Nuptse yet, the Summit Nuptse Jacket leads the campaign’s technical offering.

PERTEX Nuptse Reversible Jacket

The PERTEX Nuptse Reversible Jacket brings a reversible design to the range, offering two looks in one insulated outer layer.

1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket

The 1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket continues the recognisable puffer aesthetic that has helped the style move between mountain wear and urban fashion.

From mountain pursuits to street culture

The FW26 ICONS campaign draws on personalities from outdoor sport and music. Featured talent includes ski mountaineer Jim Morrison, Olympic silver-medallist climber Brooke Raboutou, snowboarder and DJ David Djite, and New York DJ collective Las Flaquitas.

By highlighting these different communities, The North Face positions the Nuptse as both a performance-led outerwear staple and a cultural icon.

What the launch means for outdoor retail

For outdoor retailers, the three silhouettes offer distinct stories for autumn and winter merchandising: technical performance in the Summit model, versatility in the reversible PERTEX design, and established lifestyle appeal in the 1996 Retro jacket.
