New for autumn/ winter 2024, British performance clothing and equipment brand, Montane, has announced the launch of its Cetus Lite Jacket, a packable high-performance waterproof jacket made using the brand’s new PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™, built to breathe out.
With a design aesthetic that stands the test of time, the Montane Cetus Lite is a PFC/PFAS-free high-performance waterproof jacket made for outstanding breathability, ensuring comfortable and efficient movement in the mountains. With an Evaporative Thermal Resistance (RET) rating of 5 and 100% waterproof construction (20k Hydrostatic Head), it has been introduced as an integral part of the outdoor brand’s ‘shell’ collection in AW24.
The new PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™, delivers waterproof breathable performance with a 3-layer construction; a windproof, non-porous hydrophilic membrane that transports water vapour and moisture away from the body, a 100% recycled Nylon 21D Ripstop face fabric, and a durable Tricot lining. The build of the fabric allows the Cetus Lite Jacket to manage the microclimate of the wearer to work harder in extreme conditions while delivering freedom of movement, within a design that has been critically engineered for maximum performance and minimum weight. This provides the jacket with a timeless look that transcends trends.

The feature set of the Cetus Lite Jacket includes a fully adjustable hood for precision adjustment and unhindered vision, articulated sleeves for unrestricted movement and fully adjustable hems to minimise heat loss and keep out wind and rain. Offset seams deliver a lightweight construction while extending the lifespan of the jacket and laminated cuffs, hem and peak provide strength in key areas.
