Montane adopts ExpeDRY Ultra Dry Down for AW25
Montane will be the first brand to adopt the revolutionary down insulation technology across its entire down jacket range
Montane, the British performance clothing and equipment brand, has announced it will incorporate ALLIED Feather + Down’s groundbreaking ExpeDRY technology into its full range of down jackets for Autumn/Winter 2025. This move makes Montane the first brand to integrate ExpeDRY across an entire down jacket collection.
Currently featured in Montane’s AW24 Alpine 850 Nano jacket, ExpeDRY will now enhance the brand’s entire lineup, offering superior warmth, durability, and moisture protection in the most extreme environments.
ExpeDRY replaces traditional chemical treatments with gold particles permanently bonded to down clusters. This innovative technology creates an electrostatic shield that repels water molecules and breaks down hydrogen bonds, considerably accelerating moisture evaporation. As a result, the insulation remains drier, warmer, and more efficient—particularly in high-humidity conditions or during intense activity.
Furthermore, the quick-drying down is completely free of harmful substances like PFAS, thanks to FUZE® technology, which provides a chemical-free alternative to conventional hydrophobic treatments.
