Mountain Sports retailer Ellis Brigham has launched a staff wellbeing platform, Togetherall, which coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week May 9-15.
The platform is aimed at supporting employees who might be struggling with personal mental health issues. Having been in the mountain sports industry for almost 90 years, Ellis Brigham felt it was the right time to support those who maybe feel they have their own personal mountains to climb.
Rob Brigham, Managing Director, said: “We all experience those off days, low morale, anxiety or feelings of worry, being overwhelmed or stressed. It can be hard to share or talk about these feelings for fear of being judged, which is why Togetherall is a completely anonymous platform.”
It is estimated that one in four people suffer mental health problems, made worse by the recent COVID pandemic and current world issues. Ellis Brigham hope Togetherall will provide the perfect place to be heard and to help alleviate worries or concerns while giving a positive perspective on whatever someone may be feeling.
Ellis Brigham is also continuing partnership with Trail magazine and the charity Mind on the Mountains for the Mind campaign which aims to spread the word to friends and colleagues and loved ones about the mental benefits of being outside – something that has been scientifically proven.
Rob added: “For many of us, we know getting outdoors maybe enough to get us back on track but others may need a little more help, support and intervention. We really hope Togetherall provides the perfect platform to help overcome whatever mental mountains someone feels they are battling.”
