Dear media representatives,

In the countdown to COP26, independent climate solutions provider South Pole has honoured British outdoor brands Rab and Lowe Alpine for being among the “Climate Pioneers” in the UK and Ireland that are integrating ambitious climate reduction solutions into their business strategy. Equip became a certified Climate Neutral Company in 2020, as one of the first outdoor apparel manufacturers in Europe.

After rigorous measurement of the brand’s scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, creating an ambitious emission reduction plan and investing in a portfolio of carbon credits to compensate residual and unavoidable emissions, the company was awarded South Pole’s Climate Neutral Label for the second year running in 2021. Equip is committed to reach Net Zero emissions by 2030 with carbon reduction targets based on the Science Based Target Methodology. The company applies a comprehensive CSR strategy which is embedded across the business at all levels.

Debbie Read, CSR Manager at Equip, says: “We are extremely delighted about South Poles recognition of our CSR ambitions. We are proud to work with such a supportive partner and to be able to rely on their expertise and know-how in sustainability and climate solutions.”
