Icelandic B‑Corp outerwear brand 66°North has launched its second collaborative collection with long‑time brand ambassador, photographer and explorer Chris Burkard. The exclusive nine‑piece men’s and women’s range will be released on 24th September 2025.
Having tested 66°North gear hiking, cycling and in extreme environments for years, Chris has taken on a new design and creative role. His first capsule with 66°North, released for Spring/Summer ’25, marked the beginning of this deeper collaboration. Their Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, Ljósufjöll, represents the next evolution – bringing Chris’s wisdom of adventure together with 66°North’s technical design experience for winter.
Months of hands‑on testing have gone into Ljósufjöll -resulting in fresh silhouettes and refined iterations of already established ones. The aim has been to unite function and thoughtful usability, all while keeping a stylish aesthetic. Working closely with 66°North’s in‑house team, Chris drew on core heritage styles and elevated them through his modern perspective – infusing outdoor staples with design details rarely seen in conventional technical gear. Ljósufjöll delivers performance‑driven, versatile gear made for movement, layering and the unexpected turns of seasonal change. For AW25, Chris introduces a muted palette of browns and earthy tones that combines both outdoor utility and everyday wearability.
“We wanted to bridge the Ljósufjöll collection into winter. The goal was simple – build a light and active insulation system head-to-toe that will keep you outdoors for longer when the cold starts to creep in. By accessing some of the best materials and fabrics on offer, we created something warmer and lighter than I’ve ever used. In Iceland it’s always about fitting in your movement whenever the weather gives you a window. These clothes are built for that window when the lines are blurred, and the season starts to shift,” said Chris Burkard.

Helgi Óskarsson, CEO of 66°North, said: “We wanted to build on what Chris and our team created with Ljósufjöll season one. This collection is about gear that adapts, it delivers performance but without compromising in style. It’s as much at home on a mountain summit as it is in the city, and that’s exactly where what 66°North stands for – blending function, durability and design into pieces people will reach for season after season.”
The Ljósufjöll collection will be available online beginning 24th September 2025, with prices ranging from £135 for the hoodie up to £495 for the shell jacket.
