The Vezor Race Department

The Vezor, Rossignol’s first trail‑running shoe, has been accompanying the performances of Team Rossignol Trail Running athletes on the international circuit for several months.

Encouraged by their praise for its responsiveness, energy return, grip, and precise fit, the athletes’ field feedback led to the development of the new Vezor Race Department, officially unveiled today in Chamonix. This additional model in Rossignol’s trail‑running range keeps all the assets of the original version while introducing a redesigned upper, developed and refined in collaboration with the brand’s athletes.

It delivers enhanced support and protection as well as improved breathability.

Designed to maximize energy return and speed on technical terrain
Every stage of the Vezor Race Department’s development was driven by one objective: enable faster running and the durability required for the world’s most demanding trail races.

Thanks to months of close collaboration between product managers, the brand’s Race Department, and Team Rossignol Trail Running athletes, the process kept the Vezor’s major assets while reinforcing the upper for high‑speed performance. The new model features a Matryx Kevlar‑reinforced upper for stability at high speeds, a gaiter‑style construction that improves heel hold and shields against debris, and serrated laces for ultra‑precise adjustment.

The result is a lightweight, stable, and dynamic shoe that delivers excellent rebound and unmatched grip — a combination of Rossignol’s leading technologies and Michelin’s exclusive Formula compound in the outsole — engineered to support experienced runners on the fastest, most technical trail races on the circuit.

For more than a century, performance has been at the core of Rossignol’s DNA. Its history is marked by decades of competitive victories and iconic products. Successes made possible by the brand’s fine-tuned development process and a continuous dialogue with Rossignol athletes from all disciplines, to turn the demands of high-level competition into proven technological innovations designed to compete for titles and medals.

In 2027, as the brand celebrates its 120th anniversary, the Rossignol Race Department program will be officially launched: a unique label to bring together the brand’s highest-performing, most competitive products. To guarantee the integrity and technical quality of products stamped ‘Race Department,’ Rossignol’s Racing Department will rely on a strategy of excellence based on three founding pillars:

The removable footbed system allows a highly precise, customizable fit to perfectly adjust the shoe to the foot.
1. Thermoformed ergonomic insole: instant comfort – 100% recycled textile + 50% recycled PU.
2. Removable insole: additional cushioning & fit support – 50% recycled PU.
3. Breathable, draining sole – 25% recycled EVA.
4. Midsole No. 1: Compressed EVA for cushioning.

5.Diapazon+: composite performance plate (nylon and fiberglass), inserted in the dual-density midsole and specifically designed and tested to offer energy return, stability and terrain filtering to all runners.

6. Midsole No. 2: N+FOAM Nitrogen-infused supercritical foam, ultra-resilient and responsive, for maximum propulsion.

7. Lugs, deformation zones and debris evacuation lines: every element has been designed to optimize grip during braking, transition and propulsion.
