sustainability has been an integral part of Jack Wolfskin’s culture and strategy since the company was founded in 1981. The German- based performance apparel, footwear and equipment manufacturer has embraced sustainable dying processes and the use of natural fibres such as organic cotton and hemp in its products for decal- des. The expansion of the brand’s partnership with TENCEL™ with the marriage of natural and recycled materials demonstrates an opportunity for the apparel industry to vastly improve its sustainability practices.

“The membrane of the Terra Rise is garbage, literally,” said Daniele Grasso, Vice President Product & apparel for Jack Wolfskin. “By working with our partners at TENCEL™, we successfully combined a natural technical outer fabric with a recycled high-performance membrane. it’s a win for the environment and for anyone who wants to look incredible while operating in wet and windy weather.”
