British technical apparel brands Musto and ThruDark have joined forces on Nautikos, a new offshore sailing collection designed for demanding conditions at sea.
The collaboration brings together Musto’s long experience in performance sailing and the design approach of ThruDark, which was founded by former UK Special Forces personnel. The brands position Nautikos as Musto’s most technically advanced offshore collection to date.
Technical construction for offshore sailing
The range incorporates GORE-TEX PRO outerwear and, according to the launch announcement, introduces Dyneema reinforcement to a Musto collection for the first time. The emphasis is on weather protection, durability and practical design for prolonged use in exposed marine environments.
The collection includes a GORE-TEX jacket, a technical mid-layer, storm fleece, base layer and accessories. These products reflect the crossover between sailing-specific protection and the broader outdoor industry’s interest in robust, multi-environment clothing systems.
British brands combine expertise
For outdoor and marine retailers, the partnership illustrates how specialist performance brands are using shared technical development and distinct identities to reach overlapping audiences. Musto supplies the sailing heritage and on-water testing background; ThruDark contributes its design perspective shaped by operations in challenging environments.
