Made from Polartec® Alpha™ Direct knit fabric, the super-lightweight hooded jacket (just 200g) is temperature regulating, sweat wicking, fast drying, and super breathable. It keeps heat when you need it, and releases it when you don’t. Therefore, it is the perfect companion for a range of stop-start alpine activities, from trail running to downhill skiing.
The Freelight Family is always evolving. The Freelight Polartec® Alpha™ Hood is unique in that it can be worn as a single layer. There is no need to keep adjusting clothing for changes in body heat or outdoor environment.

FREELIGHT ALPHA® POLARTEC HOOD: THE BREAKDOWN
- A multi-activity hooded insulating jacket engineered to regulate heat, eliminate moisture, and dry in no time at all.
- Made from POLARTEC® ALPHA™ DIRECT KNIT FABRIC, a material that uses lofted fibre technology and a mesh core to promote the retention of warm air. Or it can enhance airflow, depending on the conditions.
- POLARTEC® ALPHA™ DIRECT KNIT has hydrophobic properties, allowing it to actively repel moisture, and dry quickly. It also fights moisture build-up, maintaining insulation in even damp conditions.
- The Hood is cut with raglan sleeves, allowing for a greater range of movement. Moreover, its flatlock covering seams offer a frictionless wearing experience. The high neck line combats windchill, and the fitted hood is comfortable without being bulky.
- The Freelight Polartec® Alpha™ Hood is super lightweight, just 200g (85gsm), and highly compressible, with no damage to insulation. This makes it perfect for stuffing in a bag, or even a pocket.
- The Hood features reflective zip-pullers and a zipped chest pocket for small items.
