GORE-TEX® BRAND OPENS ITS 50-YEAR ARCHIVE, AND GORE-TEX® GEAR REPAIR STATION, FOR ONE WEEKEND ONLY
(London,September 2026) To mark 50 years of GORE-TEX® Products, the iconic brand is introducing The Lattice Works, a free exhibition at 19 D‘Arblay Street in Soho, London, running Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th October. Visitors can explore five decades of archive pieces, many of which have rarely been on show to the public.Just in time for winter, GORE-TEX® Brand will also be offering GORE‑TEX® Gear Repair on a first come, first served basis.
The collection on display spans the full reach of the brand. Alongside some of the first products ever made with GORE-TEX® Material sits a jacket worn on the 1990 Trans-Antarctica Expedition, together with archival pieces from British outdoor names including Berghaus, Mountain Equipment and Sprayway, as well as technical icons from Arc’teryx.
Visitors throughout the weekend will also be able to check-out collaborations that took the membrane well beyond the mountains, from Palace to Savile Row tailor Henry Poole. Gore’s own archivist will be on hand across the weekend to share the stories behind the pieces:the people, the expeditions and the challenges each product was built to solve.
While they explore, visitors can drop off their own garments for a free repair at the GORE-TEX® Gear Repair Station, from re-taped seams to replacement zip sliders*. Those visiting on Sunday can also step into the GORE-TEX® Brand Sunday Soundscape, a listening space inspired by rain and the outdoors.
