OutdoorXpo 2027 is offering meet-and-greet sessions with Jimmy Chin and Jim Morrison, giving visitors a chance to hear directly from the team behind Everest: The Other Side.
The documentary follows Morrison’s journey to ski the Hornbein Couloir on Everest’s north face. The event announcement says the film reaches cinemas and IMAX on Friday 30 October.
From Everest to the NEC
Morrison completed the descent on 15 October 2025, with Chin summiting alongside him and leading the filming crew.
The story connects with an ambition Morrison shared with Hilaree Nelson: to climb and ski Everest’s north face.
Chin co-directed the film and is also known for Free Solo, Meru and The Rescue. Morrison’s earlier mountain achievements include the first ski descent of Lhotse with Nelson in 2018.
OutdoorXpo says four meet-and-greet sessions per speaker are planned across its 2027 weekend at the NEC, with places capped. The sessions are intended to give visitors time to ask questions away from the main crowds.
