New OIA Board Member appointed
Sonia Prior is a huge fan of the outdoor industry and grateful for the experience and opportunities it has provided both her and her family
The OIA has welcome Sonia Prior as a new member, to its Board of Directors. Sonia is Sales Director for Bradshaw Taylor a brand owner and distributor of brands in the outdoor, ski and country markets in the UK, Europe and USA. She has spent the past twenty-five years in the outdoor, run and ski industry, and whilst she has been based in the UK for most of her career, has been fortunate to have gained experience across Europe and USA markets too.
Sonia is a huge fan of the outdoor industry and grateful for the experience and opportunities it has provided both her and her family. She is a long serving member, and past President, of the Snowsports Industry of Great Britain (SIGB), and is currently responsible for the Slide & OTS Winter industry trade show.
When she’s not “on the road”, Sonia enjoys spending time outside with family and friends, and is a keen skier, trail runner, traveller and van lifer.
OIA Board Chairman Nick Giles OBE said: “On behalf of the whole Board I am very pleased to welcome Sonia to the OIA team. She is a passionate advocate for the outdoors, with an enormous depth of knowledge and experience in our sector, and the OIA will benefit greatly from her insight and expertise. We all look forward to working with Sonia in the coming years.”
At their most recent meeting in June 2025, the OIA Board resolved to appoint Sonia Prior as a director of the OIA. In accordance with the Association’s Articles, Sonia will hold office until the next AGM in March 2026, at which time she will be eligible for full election by the OIA members.
