Vango launches ‘Made To’ campaign to encourage adventure

Leading UK outdoor equipment brand, Vango, has launched its new campaign titled ‘Made To’, as it aims to encourage campers and outdoor lovers to find their sense of adventure for 2024.
The campaign, which launched on 13th February, follows the unveiling of Vango’s new 2024 collection, and is centred around the themes of adventure and longevity, promoting the idea of creating experiences and memories that can be re-lived and enjoyed over and over.
‘Made To’ is structured around three core strands: product, people, and environment. The product element is centred on Vango’s commitment to developing innovative and durable equipment, designed to be functional, robust, reliable, comfortable, user-friendly, and that lasts for years to come. The people strand focuses on encouraging adventurers to build life-long memories of camping experiences with loved ones, which can be repeated for years to come with the same reliable kit. The environment feature promotes a message of respecting our adventure playground, reducing landfill,
recycling earth-polluting products and helping Vango’s consumers to do their bit for the planet through the brand’s ‘Spares and Repairs’ and ‘Camping Recycled’ platforms.
The campaign is segmented into six categories, each highlighting separate purposes: ‘Made To Re- adventure’, ‘Made To Re-purpose’, ‘Made To Re-member’, ‘Made To Re-discover’, ‘Made To Re- invent’, and ‘Made To Re-use.
Speaking on the launch of the campaign, Vango’s Senior Marketing Manager, Katy Buchan, commented: “At Vango, we believe everyone has that Spirit of Adventure in them somewhere; they just need to find it. The ‘Made To’ campaign seeks to encourage individuals to head outdoors and create memories, promoting inclusion and accessibility for all, no matter your level of camping knowledge, experience, or competency.
“It encourages campers to make responsible environmental choices and utilise reliable kit that is built to last, by tapping into Vango’s rich history of camping expertise, innovation, and product research and development, that stretches back almost 60 years.”
The ‘Made To’ campaign messaging will be used across Vango’s advertising, marketing materials, product catalogue and at events, and will also be spearheaded by social media activations. The campaign ties in with Vango’s ongoing #SpiritOfAdventure narrative, which encourages individuals to head outdoors, whether they are a thrill-seeking explorer, first time camper, occasional camper, or regularly family camper, with the aim of finding your ‘Spirit of Adventure’ and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
