OIA backs new outdoor trade learning event

A new outdoor learning and network event has gained the full backing of the Outdoor Industries Association (OIA).

The event, “Outdoor & Social” is a way of bringing people and brands together to network, educate, experience, diversify and socialise while doing what they love and advocate to others.

Andrew Denton, CEO of the OIA, said: “The concept of and social is innovative and a great addition for the outdoor industries calendar. We wholly support training and the benefits of specialist knowledge in the Outdoor sector. We are delighted to offer our full endorsement and support to the event.”

Outdoor and social. is a three-day event to be held on March 12-14, 2024, in Edale, in the Peak District, Derbyshire.

It is an outdoor trade event providing workshops and practical sessions designed to increase knowledge and confidence in outdoor products and skills through experience.

Delivered under the guidance of brands, experts, and professionals it is completely free of charge to all retail staff, and aims to help all retailers and their staff deliver better information to the consumer.
