Nail city trails in the KEEN KS86

KEEN brings trail runner heritage to casual, everyday comfort with its all-new town-to-trail sneaker, the KS86. The KS86 features aggressive trail tread, all-day sneaker comfort and retro suede craftsmanship. It has a throwback look for a reason – its design is rooted in KEEN’s original trail runner, the A86. Named after the French freeway that creates a circle around Paris, where the city meets a more rural, natural landscape for trail running, the KS86 (KEEN Sneaker 86) is designed for life inside that circle: ready to explore city trails of concrete, pavement, gravel and dirt.

KEEN took the original luggy trail runner sole from their vintage A86 model and paired it with a simple upper that leans into city style — 100% recycled P.E.T. nylon with suede overlays or an all-leather version with nubuck and suede. Like all KEEN shoes, the KS86 is Consciously Created without forever chemicals.  PFAS and antimicrobial-free, all leather used throughout the collection is responsibly sourced from tanneries that are certified by the Leather Working Group for their environmental and social practices.

“We set out to create the ultimate hybrid shoe that was trail-worthy but truly a lifestyle end-use product,” says Blaine Conrad, senior director, KEEN product management. “We heard from our Fans that they were wearing performance trail footwear casually because they appreciated both the style and functionality. We’re excited to give them the KS86, a purpose built sneaker that pays homage to our brand’s history with details in the upper and the wrap-around outsole design.”

Key features of the KS86 include:

• Sneaker comfort: Designed to be worn all day with soft, flexible, high-rebound cushioning.
• Trail runner sole: Non-marking, higher-traction rubber with chunky and trail-able tread for multi-surface grip.
• Ethically sourced suede: KEEN only sources leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group for their environmental and social practices.
• Reinforced lacing: Redesigned to allow a secure fit with less risk of tearing.
• Room-for-your-toes fit: Original Fit has generous space across the forefoot for toes to spread out.
• Pesticide-free odor control: Eco Anti-Odor fights foot funk with natural probiotics that are safe for human health and the environment.

Choose from 10 colours across men’s and women’s sizing. The leather version, £120 is available in six colors with flat laces, while the non-leather version (£110) includes two different lace options: flat laces for a cleaner look and round climbing rope-inspired laces for a performance trail aesthetic.
