Montane builds on its ‘fast and light’ offering for SS24
British outdoor clothing and equipment brand, Montane, has further strengthened its offering and reveals innovations in fast and light kit for SS24 with responsible developments in its shell, insulation, fleece, and legwear categories.
The overarching Montane campaign ‘built for more’ which was introduced for AW23, continues at strength for SS24 and highlights the brand’s timeless design, its adaptability, as well as its drive to see more and do more in the changing world of adventure.
Further building on its increasingly responsible approach for SS24, the outdoor brand has revealed its waterproof collection named, ‘Solution’. Available in black for both men and women, the solution dyed jacket and pants are an integral part of the SS24 season. With its permanent relevance and ease of repair, the highly durable, timeless designs will feature as part of the brands ‘shell’ category.
Additional product highlights in Montane’s ‘shell’ category include the men’s Featherlite Nano Jacket which sets a new standard in packable and lightweight wind protection for trail runners. Designed 48% lighter than the original Featherlite Jacket, the Featherlite Nano Jacket has been developed with a reduced feature set to include an ultra-small pack size to make it as streamlined as possible. The items will be available in new colours; citrus spring and eclipse blue.
New for ‘insultation’ is the launch of the men’s and women’s Composite Hoodie which blends Montane’s latest Fury fleece technologies with durable, high-stretch materials for unrestricted, dynamic movement designed to withstand harsh conditions. The Composite Hoodie is available in new colours; dark garnet and stone blue for men, and deep forest and mulberry for women.
On the launch, Montane’s Marketing Director, Matthew Hickman, commented: “On our fast and light mission, our product design and delivery for SS24 is defined by performance and simplicity and delivers a timeless durability which can withstand the test of time. Through our ‘built for more’ campaign, we strive to push boundaries and have a permanent relevance which remains appropriate across multiple activities, seasons, and years with adaptability built into the core, so the wearer is prepared for whatever gets thrown at them.”
The Fury and Protium ‘families’ see the release of lightweight product updates in the ‘softshell and fleece’ category for SS24. The men’s and women’s Fury Lite Hoodie, Fury Lite Jacket and Fury Lite Pull-On have evolved to offer the same durable, high-stretch, dynamic thermal performance with 20% reduced weight. The ‘Lite’ products, which are available in new colours such as midnight grey, Neptune blue, and citrus spring, comprise of a highly efficient thermal performance with a super lightweight nylon fleece at its core.
The men’s and women’s Protium Lite Hoodie has applied a significant warmth to weight ratio, making it 35% lighter than the original Protium Fleece without any reduction of thermal performance control. New colours of the Protium Lite Hoodie include nagami orange, slate, and acer red.
The ‘next to skin’ category has been strengthened with the addition of the women’s Dart Vest, which uses 100% recycled APEX fabric and perfectly balances warmth, wicking and breathability. With its Polygiene anti-odour technology, it’s a perfect staple for multi-activity use.
The Trailblazer packs, which are available in multiple sizes ranging from mountain to day packs, have evolved to be more adaptable with less impact for ultimate versatility. New for SS24 are the Trailblazer XT 35 and 25 packs which have been developed to excel in Alpine environments with tough, recycled fabric using a PFC Free DWR. With reduced trims and mesh, the packs have a clean aesthetic which have been designed with durability in mind.
Further collection highlights in ‘legwear’ include the men’s and women’s Slipstream 3/4 Trail Tights which are engineered to perform in the toughest trail races with its unrestrictive performance, dynamic stretch, and recycled fabric and zip tape. The category is enhanced with an addition to the Terra family with the men’s Terra Shorts which feature an improved fit, durable design, waistband adjustment, and a PFC Free DWR. Finally, the new women’s Ineo Lite Shorts have been built for all-day comfort with its lightweight, high stretch material.
