Nimsdai Store has introduced its first dedicated expedition cargo trousers as part of its Autumn/Winter 2026 technical apparel collection.
Developed in collaboration with founder and mountaineer Nimsdai Purja, the new Cargo Trousers were refined through multiple design iterations and tested across mountain summits. The design is intended for trekking and expedition use on technical terrain, including load-carrying at altitudes up to 6,000 metres.
Built for demanding mountain conditions
The trousers use a heavy-duty 238gsm stretch-woven fabric comprising 91% recycled nylon and 9% spandex, with four-way stretch and a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. An articulated knee and gusseted crotch are designed to allow freedom of movement during high steps and scrambles.
Storage is a central feature. The eight-pocket arrangement includes two hand pockets, two zipped rear pockets, two cargo pockets and two calf pockets for essential equipment.
Additional expedition details include external attachment points for equipment such as an ice axe, camera pole, map or gloves, secured with rust-resistant magnetic poppers. An internal hook-and-loop belt adjuster, conventional belt loops and calf adjusters support fit adjustments, while zipped rear hems accommodate bulkier mountaineering boots.
