Helinox Europe has strengthened its team with the appointment of an experienced industry professional to a key new role. Seb Murphy will take up the position of Commercial Manager Europe, as the brand seeks to build on recent growth. Murphy is currently Sales Manager at ProAgencies in the UK and will start his job at Helinox on 1 January 2025.
Based in Amsterdam, the Helinox Europe business has grown significantly in the last six years under the leadership of President and Global Chief Operating Officer Andrew Shand. The brand is now well established in all major European outdoor markets, with a strong presence in the specialist retail sector, and a wider lifestyle footprint, through initiatives such as the Helinox Creative Centre Paris, which opened earlier this year.
Seb Murphy has been working in the outdoor industry for over a decade. He held roles at Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports (and in a store run by the company for The North Face) and Snow+Rock, before joining ProAgencies, where he has represented a range of outdoor brands, including Helinox. As Commercial Manager Europe, Murphy is joining Helinox as the brand focuses on two major initiatives for 2025 – the introduction of Chair One (re), a significant update to the iconic product that set the benchmark for lightweight outdoor furniture, and the launch of products in the brand new Helinox PLAY category.
