Arc’teryx opens biggest store in Europe in Covent Garden

Arc’teryx Equipment, the Canadian outdoor brand renowned for its technical high-performance apparel and equipment, opened a new pinnacle store in London’s Covent Garden on Thursday 29th February.

The new store is Arc’teryx’s largest in Europe, and the first in the region to feature a ReBIRD™ Service Centre for product repairs.

ReBIRD™ is Arc’teryx’s platform for circularity, designed to build a more sustainable, circular future for the outdoor industry.

Here are things to know about the brand’s new pinnacle store:

• Occupying 733 square metres and covering two floors in central London, the new store is Arc’teryx’s largest in Europe.
• The new Covent Garden outpost is a relocation from its 49 Long Acre brand store, which closed its doors on 22nd February.
• Arc’teryx has three stores in London, with two other existing retail spaces – one inside the Battersea Power Station,and another in Piccadilly.
• The new Covent Garden store stocks a full spectrum of Arc’teryx gear. Expect technical trail, climb, and snow gear, as well as packs, footwear, and Veilance – Arc’teryx’s collection designed to navigate and respond to urban environments.
• Arc’teryx’s new footwear range, fully created by the brand from start to finish, featuring the Vertex, Kragg and Sylan shoes will be available in the Covent Garden store.
• Arc’teryx Covent Garden will be home to a European first for the brand: it is the first store in the region to feature a ReBIRD™ Service Centre. Guests can bring in their Arc’teryx products for light touch repairs like GORE-TEX patches and zipper pulls, technical washing and re-waterproofing, product assessment, and education on care and repair.
• The new store focuses heavily on community. Customers can access Arc’teryx beyond the brand in a Community Hub where they can enjoy screenings of athlete films, athlete-recommended adventure and exploration books and literature, access to local trails maps and events news, and UK ambassador profiles.
• Arc’teryx will be hosting several free opening weekend celebrations. Events kick off with a climbing party at the new climbing gym, Parthian, on Friday 1 March (evening). Then, on Saturday 2 March, Arc’teryx prizes (worth up to £800) will be waiting for the first one hundred customers through the store’s doors. On both Saturday and Sunday customers can enjoy complimentary drinks, as well as a high-altitude walk experience supported by the Altitude Centre.
