66°North unveils limited-edition “Fisherman’s Print” capsule

The design reflects marks of time, salt spray and survival

Icelandic BCorp outerwear brand 66°North has introduced its Fisherman’s Print limited edition capsule. This five-piece collection draws inspiration from their iconic heritage fisherman’s coat, reinterpreted through a modern lens.

Founded in 1926 by Hans Kristjánsson in the fishing village of Suðureyri, 66°North began by creating protective garments for Icelandic fishermen facing the unforgiving North Atlantic. With the brand’s centenary on the horizon in 2026, this collection arrives at a pivotal moment – a tribute to its heritage and a preview of what lies ahead.

Inspired by the wear and tear etched into outerwear shaped by Arctic conditions, the new Fisherman’s Print captures the texture and weathered character of the fabric. The design reflects marks of time, salt spray, and survival.

This campaign captures authentic footage of Gauti, a 54-year-old professional fisherman originally from Grindavík, Iceland. Gauti has spent his life working the sea, starting at just 16 and fishing ever since with his brother on their family-owned boat. However, volcanic eruptions across the Reykjanes Peninsula have recently altered his routine; previously sailing the shores of Grindavík, Gauti has now relocated to nearby Keflavík.
