Icelandic B‑Corp outerwear brand 66°North and California-based performance eyewear & running brand District Vision are joining forces for a collaborative AW25 capsule, exemplifying the spirit of 66north.
Built for extreme environments, the new line includes both proprietary lens technology and advanced thermoregulatory fabrics. The result: an Arctic‑grade exploration kit built to withstand whatever nature throws its way, without compromising on style. The capsule reflects District Vision’s ethos of mindful living fused with high-performance sportswear. It also upholds 66°North’s nearly 100-year legacy of functional durability, a testament to why 66north has become synonymous with high-quality gear.
“Since its founding in Iceland in 1926, 66°North has always been about creating gear for survival – and this partnership with District Vision embodies that heritage,” notes Helgi Óskarsson, CEO of 66°North. “We truly admire District Vision’s philosophy of mindful performance. They are the ideal partner to help us discover what it means to move with intention. In any climate. This partnership helps us take our next bold steps into the running world, further expanding 66north’s reach.”
The capsule includes winter running styles – a balaclava top, tights, and shorts – all crafted from Italian recycled 4-way stretch fabrics. The design also features sharp contrast stitching that mirrors Iceland’s dramatic nature and weather. The hero piece is a down puffer, inspired by a custom 66°North 2013 suit. It was worn by the first Icelander to summit the north face of Everest, which is a legacy moment for 66north.
Eyewear takes centre stage with two signature models – the Keiichi and Eiichi. Both are built with shatterproof polycarbonate lenses, oleophobic and anti-reflective coatings. They feature the D+ Photochromic lens for seamless adaptability in variable light, perfectly aligning with 66north’s emphasis on practical innovation.
Rounding out the collection: a heritage-inspired Tindur Down Hat designed to securely carry eyewear, and ultra-insulated trousers designed to withstand Arctic extremes, embodying the spirit of 66north’s dedication to functionality.
