Finisterre releases limited t-shirt collection to mark World Oceans Day

The release marks Finisterre’s latest initiative in a range of World Oceans Day events

Finisterre, the sustainability-driven outdoor brand born on the coast of Cornwall, is marking World Oceans Day (8 June 2025) with an exclusive range of unisex t-shirts designed in support of Oceana – the world’s largest international ocean conservation organisation.

United by a shared love of our natural blue spaces and an unwavering passion for protecting them, Finisterre will donate 10% of profits from sales of the new limited collection to the global campaign group.

This partnership with Oceana not only aims to help fund the advocacy organisation’s mission for positive policy changes, but also to call on the brand’s community of ocean lovers, surfers, and environmental advocates to demand better protections for the oceanic environments we all depend on.

“We’ve always been inspired by and committed to protecting our ocean,” says Lawrence Stafford, Head of Community, Finisterre.“A healthy ocean is crucial for providing oxygen, regulating climate, and supporting diverse marine ecosystems, as well as the important role it plays in supporting the livelihoods of coastal communities. Please act now to protect our ocean before it’s too late.”

The release marks Finisterre’s latest initiative in a range of World Oceans Day events. In previous years, the brand created a special and successful broadcast that shone a light on the people working to protect our saltwater spaces, and collaborated with the Ocean Film Festival tour to help support and showcase inspiring stories from the sea.

World Oceans Day was officially recognised by the United Nations in 2008, and now reaches millions of people globally through events run by partner organisations in more than 180 countries.

Finisterre’s limited run of t-shirts features three Ocean Activist-inspired designs, with prices starting at £38. They go on sale on 8 June 2025 at finisterre.com.
