In Spring 24, Columbia is launching the KONOS COLLECTION, a new fast-hiking footwear franchise featuring the new OMNI-MAX technology platform combining traction, stability, and cushioning for nonstop underfoot comfort & energy return.
Designed specifically for the new trend of fast hiking, the Konos collection provides you with the right balance of cushioning, stability and traction.
The new Omni-MaxTM technology platforms delivers:
- VERSATILE CUSHIONING
The technology platform provides an adaptive lightweight cushioning solution in the midsole with responsive foam that delivers enhanced impact absorption, energy return, and comfort.
- ENHANCED STABILITY
The Midfoot support is designed with strategically placed deflection domes and flex grooves in the forefoot that reduce load impact and enhance flexibility on variable surfaces while providing more natural foot motion.
- INCREASED TRACTION
Our Advanced traction outsole is made with specially formulated compounds (Adapt Trax on the Konos TRS version and Omni-Grip on the Konos XCEL WP and Konos Low) and tread patterns to provide cross-terrain grip in wet or dry conditions.
The key styles built on the Omni-Max platform in Spring 24 offer lightweight trail versatility thanks to the right balance between cushioning, flexibility and responsiveness allowing more freedom to hike, run and explore light to technical trails.
The pinnacle style of this collection is the KONOS TRS OUTDRY, available for both men and women (£110).
The athletic mesh UPPER design with no sew overlays and construction provide the right level of comfort, durability, and foot protection combined with the ultimate waterproof breathable technology OUTDRY™. The NAVIC FIT SYSTEM™ delivers a natural midfoot lock down and enhanced stability. The run-inspired lightweight engineered TECHLITE+™ midsole provides great cushioning and cradles the heel for optimal balance whilst the heel and forefoot deflection domes reduce load impact for better comfort and rebound. The deep flex grooves in the forefoot offer enhanced motion allowing for a more efficient stride. Finally, our proprietary ADAPT TRAX™ rubber outsole with its specially designed tread patterns provides exceptional cross-terrain grip and traction in wet and dry conditions.
The KONOS TRS also exists in a non-waterproof version(£90) for the same level of performance on dry summer days.
There is also the KONOS XCEL WATERPROOF LOW HIKING SHOE (£90), also featuring a textile upper with synthetic toe cap for added protection and no-sew overlays, providing lightweight midfoot support. Using a TECHLITE™ midsole, a specially designed heel and midfoot aids in creating a stable platform. Unlike the TRS OutDry version, this style features proprietary waterproof breathable construction Omni-TECH ™ and the outsole is made of our Omni-GRIP ™ non-marking traction rubber vs ADAPT TRAX for the TRS version.
This style also exists in a non-waterproof version: KONOS LOW (£90). This version is also available for kids with the only difference being that the mesh upper features synthetic and leather overlays/underlays for added durability and support to keep kids going on any adventure. The YOUTH KONOS LOW is priced at £65.
