Sprayway announces new partnership with Field Studies Council
Sprayway is committed to encouraging people of all ages to take their first steps into the outdoors

Sprayway is excited to announce a new partnership with the Field Studies Council, an environmental education charity dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to engage with nature.
Sprayway is committed to encouraging people of all ages to take their first steps into the outdoors. Supporting outdoor education organisations like Field Studies Council aligns perfectly with this mission. The partnership is founded on a shared belief in the transformative benefits of outdoor education for everyone.
As part of this collaboration, Sprayway will provide 250 sets of high-quality waterproof gear to Field Studies Council centres across the UK. In addition, Sprayway will collaborate with Field Studies Council staff to test and develop outdoor clothing designed for a variety of environments.
“Our new partnership with Sprayway is all about making sure our visitors have the best experience with us – whatever the weather,” said Mark Castle, CEO of Field Studies Council. “Sprayway have kindly donated 250 sets of high quality waterproofs to our charity so we are confident that our visitors will be kept warm and dry during their fieldwork.”
Founded in 1943, the Field Studies Council is a UK-based charity best known for providing field trips for students of biology, geography, and beyond. Its mission is to create outstanding opportunities for everyone to connect with nature through:
- Fieldwork and Outdoor Learning Courses: From primary school adventures and tailored secondary school curricula to advanced university research trips.
- Residential and Day Centres: A network of locations offering immersive learning experiences in stunning natural settings across the UK.
- Natural History and Leisure Courses: In- person and online courses designed for beginners, enthusiasts, and professionals, as well as creative arts and family holidays inspired by nature.
The donation of waterproofs from Sprayway comes at a crucial time as more parents and schools face challenges in affording appropriate outdoor gear. This partnership enables Field Studies Council to remove financial barriers to participation, ensuring many more learners can benefit from their transformative outdoor experiences.
Field Studies Council’s staff, particularly those based in mountain regions, will collaborate with Sprayway on product development, and field- testing new gear in challenging conditions. This initiative reflects Sprayway’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability in outdoor clothing.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Field Studies Council. Providing durable, weatherproof outdoor kit to support outdoor learning is at the heart of what we do. We look forward to seeing this collaboration grow over the coming years and positively impact communities across the UK,” said Ian Christian, Sprayway’s Brand Director.
