Adventurers set to embrace a wild weekend at the National Outdoor Expo
With over 200 brands on site, outdoor enthusiasts can learn more about adventure travel, indulge in food sampling and review the latest equipment innovations

Trekkers, trail junkies and weekend warriors are gearing up for an energising, immersive and inspiring weekend at The National Outdoor Expo, taking place at N.E.C. Birmingham from 22nd-23rd March. The two-day extravaganza features famous speakers and interactive activities, designed to motivate and equip thousands of visitors to get outside. From novices to seasoned adventurers and solo explorers to budding outdoorsy families, the show will satiate all abilities.
The Outdoor Stage sponsored by caravanfinder.co.uk will features a host of adventure lifestyle personalities including Ray Mears, Kate Humble, Steve Backshall, Lucy Mills, Mark Ormrod MBE, Tinuke Oyediran, Danny Bent, Claire Maxted, Cath Pendleton a.k.a. ‘The Merthyr Mermaid’, Steph Quintrell and many more .

The Outdoor Kitchen, sponsored by Fell Foodie and Camp Curiosity, keeping adventure foodies and little ones entertained with workshops and interviews

Water-based activities outside including Open Water Swimming, sponsored by NOWCA, a kayaking experience and bookable paddle boarding tasters, with feature operators Leam Boat Centre.
Mountain Films and Talks, sponsored by The British Mountaineering Council, they will be running a variety talks and films, presented by fell running legend, YouTuber and Summit Magazine Editor Claire Maxted and BMC Access and Policy Officer Eben Muse.
A British Orienteering Trail, sponsored by British Orienteering. This free and fun trail involves navigating your way through the Expo using a map, marking checkpoints and collecting letters to be in with a chance off winning the prize draw.
Caving Experience sponsored by H5 Adventure – wearing a safety helmet, find your way through over 90ft of caving, via the stalactites, ball pit and tunnels, across two levels.
Wild Camping Zone, sponsored by CampWild and Vango – a celebration of all things wild camping and adventure! Camp Wild are breaking down barriers, simplifying kit, and making wild camping more accessible across the UK.
Wellness in the Outdoors with Zest Life – Over two transformative days, immerse yourself in movement, breathwork, and inspiring talks designed to recharge and uplift. Flow through energizing yoga, dance, and Pilates, explore the power of breath to reset and restore, and gain wisdom from leading wellness experts.
Cycling and Adventurous Training, brought to you by Army Cycling – get active, test your skills on a Concept 2 Rower, Watt Bike or one of the bouldering challenges. Talk to serving soldiers about the outdoor skills they use in their day jobs and the sports the Army supports them to pursue.
Also new for this year, and offering attendees more choice and value, The National Cycling Show brought to you with V12 Retail Finance which brings together the cycling community is happening in tandem, alongside the National Outdoor Expo, in the hall next door. The bonus being that a ticket for either show grants visitors access to both!
The National Outdoor Expo will be open 9am – 5pm on both Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd March 2025. There are still limited tickets available. Visitors are advised to get to the Expo early to grab exciting giveaways in the queue.
